Product Description:

The VCAS series Rectangular Actuators have a lower force per weight than the Cylindrical Actuators.But they also have a much longer strokes Forces range up to 1000N and 250mm .
Rectangular Actuator are the ideal solution for X-Y Axis movements and their major market is in the semiconductor and micro machine tool industries.

The VCAS0013-0343-00A model of this rectangular voice coil motor has a peak thrust of 13 N and a total stroke of 34.3 mm, making it suitable for proportional valve actuation, medium-load positioning, and active damping systems. Its rated continuous thrust at 25°C is 8 N, ensuring reliable operation even in harsh environments.

In fluid control valve applications, proportional solenoid valves often suffer from hysteresis and limited bandwidth. In contrast, rectangular voice coil motors feature a linear force-current relationship throughout their operating stroke and are free from magnetic saturation, enabling precise flow regulation. The VCAS0013-0343-00A can directly replace solenoid valves in gas or liquid valves, offering faster response times and lower power consumption.

This product can also serve as a Z-axis actuator for light-force crimping or spring testing. The 34.3 mm stroke accommodates a wide range of workpiece sizes, while the 13 N peak force is sufficient to meet the demands of light-duty riveting or contact force control.
